Uusi Ponostoma is an early-stage greenfield magmatic Nickel project.
It is situated in northern Finland, 40 km north of the city of Sodankylä – considered the center of Lapland just north of the Arctic Circle.
It is 30 km west of Kevitsa Ni-Cu mine and 30 km northwest of Sakatti Ni-Cu mine.
The project has seen previous exploration by Anglo American (2003) and First Quantum Minerals (2012-2015) which included the following:
Bedrock mapping & boulder tracing
Ground Magnetics & Electromagnetics
BOT & scout drilling
Diamond drilling
BHEM
Excellent access via comprehensive network of gravel roads and off-road tracks.
Exploration work may include an infill Base of Till (BOT) and scout drilling program based on the historical data.
